I have been tutoring mathematics for decades, beginning at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I was selected as the only undergraduate mathematics tutor on campus. Since then I have worked one on one with students ranging from elementary school through college level, helping them build genuine understanding in Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. I have also been invited by school administrators to train high school teachers in mathematics instruction methodology — an experience that deepened my ability to explain concepts clearly and accessibly.
My approach is patient, structured and student centered. I work at each student's pace and focus on building real comprehension rather than simply completing assignments. I use multiple explanation strategies because every student learns differently, and I don't move forward until a concept is truly understood. My students have consistently improved their grades and confidence through our work together.
I hold a TEFL Level 5 Diploma — the highest level of ESL certification available — which I earned in 2026. This credential reflects my mastery of English language instruction methodology and my ability to teach grammar, reading, writing and communication skills to non-native English speakers of all ages. I offer flexible online sessions and bring the same patient, results focused approach to both mathematics and ESL instruction.
