I hold a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism from Endicott College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Santa Clara University. I have also been a Registered Behavior Technician since 2016. Over the past nine years, I have worked as a behavior interventionist supporting students in both school and home settings. This experience has given me extensive practice breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and helping learners build confidence in their academic abilities.
My tutoring experience includes working in elementary school environments as well as providing private one-on-one academic support. I primarily work with elementary, middle school, and high school students, with a strong focus on math instruction including middle school math and Algebra 1, as well as history and study skills. I especially enjoy helping students who struggle with focus, organization, or motivation by teaching them structured strategies for approaching academic work rather than relying on memorization alone. My background in behavior analysis allows me to use supportive, evidence-based methods that reinforce progress and help students build consistent learning habits.
My tutoring approach is patient, individualized, and goal-oriented. I take time to understand how each student learns best and adjust my teaching style to meet their needs. This may include visual supports, guided practice, and structured routines for studying and problem-solving. I focus on building both academic skills and confidence so that students feel more capable and independent in their learning. I also believe communication and measurable progress are important parts of effective tutoring, and when appropriate I provide brief updates so students and parents can see the progress being made over time.
