As a self-taught artist with a Williams College background in mathematics and history, I am able to tutor students in a variety of subjects to reach short-term goals (homework assignments, exams, papers) while cultivating long term study patterns. My tutoring specialties are:
SPANISH: I have tutored K-12, college and adult students in Spanish. From my experience, conversation and writing are the most difficult to master. To this end, I provide students with personalized content lists (videos, music, and reading), am available for regular conversational practice,and 1:1 guided essay writing.
TOEFL (Adults & Children): As a native bilingual, I understand the challenges of learning English and presenting exams like the TOEFL. My tutoring covers the 4 sections of the TOEFL: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking with emphasis given to vocabulary, clarity and ease of written and spoken expression.
MATH: I tutor in all math levels from Elementary School Math to AP Calculus. I have experience working with both students that are struggling and need to work on fundamentals , as wells as advanced students that want to perfect and deepen their math skills to excel academically.
