Born and raised in Michigan, I developed a passion for helping others and a need for adventure. From working as a social worker to my treks up and down the world's highest mountains, I have spent much of my life enriching the lives of others while expanding my own horizons. In 2012, after spending many years living abroad in South Korea, I moved to California to begin a new adventure.
My teaching experience is just as extensive and creative. I started tutoring at after school programs when I was in high school, continuing my passion for school aged children through my years in college. After graduating, I took a leap and started my ESL experience in Korea, working with ages 3-50. Over the next 5 years, I switched countries and students many times, but my passion for teaching only continued to grow. Since coming back to my homeland, I have worked for several educational exchange programs, and continued one on one tutoring.
I've been teaching math for 15 years and my students have gone on to increase grades, have a better understanding of this area, increase test study skills. Within the first few lessons, you'll understand my teaching style and quickly build a rapport which will make asking questions and learning much easier. I love working with students of all experience levels, sometime math can be very tricky for students but I am here to make it as simple as possible.
I've been teaching ESL for 9 years and my students have gone on to be great conversationalist, travel to other countries, and build businesses! Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to map out what it is your looking to accomplish and the path that is needed to be successful! Having actually lived abroad, I have firsthand knowledge and respect for other cultures and countries. I love working with students of all experience levels and helping them grow and reach their full potential.
