I am a practicing physician, surgeon in training, and educator with over a decade of experience helping students excel in mathematics, science, standardized testing, and medical education. I am currently a General Surgery resident at Virginia Mason Medical Center and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Biophysics and a minor in Spanish before earning my M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. My tutoring experience began in high school and has continued through college, medical school, and residency.
After scoring in the 98th percentile on the MCAT, I became an MCAT instructor for The Princeton Review, teaching all science subjects and leading multiple in-person MCAT courses of more than 20 students at MIT and the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as virtual classes of up to 30 students. At Loyola, I served as Head Tutor at the University Center for two years and worked with Chicago Public Schools for four years tutoring mathematics and science. I am currently completing a dedicated research year focused on lung cancer and surgical outcomes research. My goal is to help students build confidence, master difficult concepts, and achieve their academic goals.
