Hi there my name is Yesenia and I am excited to welcome you to my virtual classroom!

I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife Ecology, Conservation and Management and have hands-on experience working directly with students from TK-12 as well as Special Education classrooms as a Substitute Teacher. I have been a Substitute for more than half of a school year so far and am working on gaining more experience in teaching within education for the next few years. I plan to pursue my Master's in the near future and pursue teaching as a Professor at a Community College one day.

I value empathy and understanding when it comes to knowing other individuals and helping them succeed! I always tell my students: you just need to try, and you will do great! Together, we will turn complex topics into exciting discoveries and self-doubt into creative breakthroughs. I absolutely love Art, Biology, Conservation and pretty much anything Science related! I am very passionate about education and helping others see the positivity in learning! Subjects that interest me in helping tutor are within Art, Biology, Botany, Environmental Sciences and Wildlife. Courses within these subjects that I took during my degree coursework included: Conservation Biology, General Botany, General Zoology, History of Modern Art, Latin American Modernism, Ornithology, Mammalogy, Plant Ecology, Plant Taxonomy, Topics in Global Art History, Wildlife Ethology, Wildlife Policy and Animal Welfare, and Wildlife Techniques.
