I am a native Korean speaker who majored in English Literature in Korea, and I am a certified teacher in Korea. I have more than 20 years of teaching experience working with children and have always enjoyed helping students learn and grow. Over the years, I have received positive feedback for my teaching and have learned how important it is to understand each student’s individual needs and learning style. I am currently volunteering as a Korean language teacher for children at a Korean school affiliated with a Catholic church in the United States.
I especially enjoy working with students who already have some basic knowledge of Korean and want to become more comfortable speaking and expressing themselves naturally. My lessons are conversation-centered and tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Through real conversation, I can help students improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence structure, and natural Korean expressions. I also enjoy writing in Korean and have a strong interest in Korean film, art, and culture, which I am happy to incorporate into lessons.
I can also help students who are preparing to travel to or spend time in Korea. We can practice Korean for restaurants, transportation, shopping, social situations, and other experiences you may encounter in everyday life. I can also help you better understand Korean customs and culture. My goal is to provide a relaxed and encouraging environment where you can enjoy speaking Korean while steadily becoming a more confident and natural communicator.
