Hello! My name Chris, and I have worked in the medical field for 10+ years. I earned my master's degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco. I also earned certifications as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Certified Pediatric Nurse. My experience includes Emergency Room, Critical Care, Medical Surgical, and Pediatric Nursing.
Alongside my clinical experience, I also have over 8 years of experience in tutoring and nursing school instruction. I was hired by both my pre-licensure program and my nursing school to tutor fellow students in subjects including chemistry, math, physiology and all levels of nursing school for subjects like fundamentals, pediatrics, med/surg, obstetrics, and pathophysiology.
Alongside my clinical nursing career, I have worked as a nursing school clinical instructor for Mount Saint Mary's University and West Coast University. There, I helped nursing students apply their classroom theoretical knowledge to real-life clinical scenarios.
I love the feeling of helping a student grasp a difficult concept, develop their confidence, and seeing them pass their NCLEX and join the profession. My method focuses understanding the basic information and applying it, rather than simply memorizing answers. I believe in asking questions that make my students think, rather than simply giving them the answers. This method is more practical and leads to better results both in school and as a nurse. Additionally, we can review important test-taking strategies that may help improve scores.
The world need strong nurses, and I am here to help you become one!
