Raised in a Japanese-speaking household, I possess advanced Japanese language skills, which are officially recognized by achieving a working-fluency of the Seal of Biliteracy.
My teaching experience began in high school, where for four years I volunteered as a teacher's aide a Japanese language school I attended as a child. In this role, I co-taught Saturday kindergarten classes, providing in-person supervision and instruction in Japanese for subjects like math and writing.
In addition to this, I have approximately 15 hours of experience as a volunteer teaching assistant for English classes at the same elementary school.
Furthermore, my deep connection to Japanese culture extends to traditional art forms. I practiced Japanese calligraphy, known as Shuji, for eight years, achieving a high level of proficiency that led to me becoming a licensed instructor for children before middle school.
