Hello, I am a full-time college chemistry professor with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry earned in Paris, France, in 2009. I completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Riverside, where teaching organic chemistry lectures helped me discover my passion for education. I have taught at community colleges since 2013, working with college-age students and adults returning to school, including students with little prior science experience.

I offer support in introductory, general, and organic chemistry. My goal is to help students understand the reasoning behind each problem and feel confident applying what they learn. Chemistry can feel overwhelming when several concepts come together at once, so my approach is to break problems into manageable steps, use clear explanations and visual examples, and build connections between topics. We can work on foundational skills, challenging concepts, practice problems, study strategies, and exam preparation.

My tutoring sessions are tailored to your course, goals, and current understanding. We will identify where you feel stuck, work through examples together, and give you opportunities to practice explaining and applying the ideas yourself. I value questions and want students to feel comfortable saying when something does not make sense. My experience supporting students from varied academic backgrounds has reinforced how important patience, encouragement, and flexible explanations are to learning.
