I am a California-credentialed teacher with 9 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students, especially in grades 3–7. I hold a dual language authorization in Spanish, which allows me to support both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking learners in a clear, accessible, and inclusive way. Throughout my career, I have taught all core subject areas, with a strong focus on math and writing. I enjoy helping students build confidence in these areas by strengthening foundational skills, closing learning gaps, and supporting steady academic growth across a wide range of ability levels.

My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. In math, I focus on breaking down concepts into clear, manageable steps and helping students understand both how and why strategies work. In writing, I guide students in developing strong organization, clear ideas, and effective expression through brainstorming, drafting, and revision. I am trained in Write From the Beginning, which I use to support students in building structured writing skills through explicit modeling, graphic organizers, and step-by-step composition strategies. I especially enjoy working with students in grades 3–7 and helping them grow in both math and writing through patient instruction, encouragement, and skill-building that leads to greater confidence and independence.
