I am a full-time community college professor with over 10 years of experience teaching communication and public speaking, and I have also taught at both private and public universities since 2013. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles, and I am currently completing my PhD at Liberty University. Before transitioning into academia, I spent over a decade working in the corporate sector as a Director of Marketing for a commercial real estate firm in Los Angeles, where I developed communication strategies, led presentations, and collaborated with public and private organizations on large-scale community events. This combination of academic and real-world experience allows me to help both students and professionals become more confident, clear, and effective communicators.
In our sessions, I take a practical and conversational approach to learning. I work with college students, working professionals, and bilingual clients, helping them improve their communication skills in real-world situations such as presentations, interviews, and workplace interactions. I also speak Spanish and can support Spanish-speaking students who are looking to build confidence and improve their communication skills in English or in bilingual settings. I have experience presenting in corporate, academic, and government environments, and I regularly help individuals develop stronger communication strategies, including navigating conflict and speaking with confidence under pressure. Rather than focusing only on theory, I guide you through active practice, feedback, and refinement so you can see immediate improvement. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can build confidence, strengthen your communication skills, and leave each session feeling more prepared for whatever situation you are facing.
