I have worked as a Graduate Assistant and a part of a Master's Program in Philosophy at East Michigan University. I have tutoring experience at Palomar College through both their STEM and STAR programs along with Logic tutoring experience at both Palomar and CSU Fullerton. Furthermore, I have always been able to enthusiastically, expediently and efficiently tutor students in philosophy and statistics fields alike. Furthermore, I have always been able to enthusiastically, expediently and efficiently tutor students in philosophy and statistics fields alike. I believe wholeheartedly that it is important to focus in on what a student is specifically having difficulty grasping first and foremost; after the student has understood a core concept he/she was struggling with, great care is always made to fully master said concept, and knowing what the professor will test on goes a long way towards such mastery.

Philosophy is both my major and my hobby. My approach is practical, and I have a clear understanding of the history behind philosophies, studies of the mind, ethics, logic, religion, epistemology and political philosophy. I have some understanding of the philosophy of religion, Asian philosophy, and metaphysics.

Philosophy is, to me, not just a specific field that I tutor; it is a device used in order to better understand myself and others' belief systems and methods of understanding. In Anthropology, Political Science, Philosophy, and Theology, philosophical systems can be utilized in order to both better understand their thought processes which lead them to problems in grasping certain concepts in their fields, and helping devise strategies to better avoid erroneous conclusions and reasoning.

I have expertise in the American History field. Not only have I submitted essays from 20-30 pages in Chicago and APA style, but I am well-versed from both my time studying American History, and from tutoring the STEM and STAR Centers, as well as independently in a one-on-one setting with high school students. Due to the prior listings of qualifications, I can effectively tutor and assist with all forms of American History classes.

I received an A in Cultural Anthropology, with experience in understanding field work, developing and writing research papers, and analyzing data. I have experience in instructing others with essay construction, test preparation, and researching societal development. I emphasize a holistic approach towards multiculturalism and communicate this exceedingly well through my tutoring of this subject.

I am qualified to assist in all forms of English. I have experience with tutoring English during my time at the STAR Center, as well as additional experience assisting students individually through independent consultation. I have assisted with vocabulary, spelling, essay construction, critical thinking, reading comprehension, research, and grammar.

In my Logic class, I was one of the two top students, and was thus given an entire semester to informally tutor each student in the class. I prevented students from forgetting lessons taught prior in order to solve specific logic problems. Furthermore, logic and linguistics is what I plan on studying for both my Bachelor's degree, and in Grad School as well. I am willing to give my reference when asked.

The nature of epistemology has been emphasized in every philosophy class I have ever attended. My approach for instruction since my experiences in Mathematics, Logic, and Philosophy tutoring has always been: "how can we know question A"? It is thus from my philosophy classes and my experience in the STEM and STAR programs tutoring those fields with epistemological approaches that I am therefore qualified to tutor this subject.

At an early age, some students have trouble utilizing the English language due to how words are structured. My focus in Philosophy is linguistics, and as such, I understand the roots of where students may go wrong in terms of proper word enunciation and understanding. I always focus upon specific weak points of a student's pronunciation, and can take as long as I need to in order to teach a student how.

I have taken 3 different Psychology classes, and have experience with varying statistics and research methods. I can also assist with different essays and am quite familiar with APA style format.

I have assisted students with English, Writing/Essay Construction, Vocabulary, Spelling, and Reading at a High School and College level. I have assisted students on a one-on-one and group basis and can assist with critical techniques in reading comprehension, proper, gradual reading habits, and test preparation regarding reading exercises.

As one who has not only studied other religions at a Catholic High School, but also someone who has learned both the central tenets of religions in two religious philosophy classes, I have all the means one can imagine to tutor Religious Studies. Furthermore, I have experience from one of these two classes in scripture interpretation, should this be required. I also know how to both debate and properly construct essays in this subject.

I have utilized Statistics both Psychologically and Sociologically, and can help students understand these research methods. I shadowed a sociology class to better understand topics in this field as well, and can help interpret data and begin research papers. I am confident in my ability to assist in these regards.

I am qualified in helping students of all ages in developing stronger study skills. At Palomar college STAR and STEM centers, have assisted students in methods best suited to their learning style in a one-on-one setting, specifically for verbal, visual, and logical learning styles. I am currently assisting an independent high school student with studying material specific to each subject, and can and have been working closely with both students and/or parents to ensure that they are prepared for a test.

Very Knowledgable, Passionate, & Creates a Welcoming Environment

He helped me with the Philosophy of Space/Time and some Ethics. You can tell them he is very passionate about philosophy and takes the time to explain any concepts you may be struggling with. And if even he is unfamiliar with a topic, he is willing to read about it and break it down for you. This all leads to a welcoming environment where you can have a more open dialogue as opposed to being strictly focused on content. I had a fantastic time talking to him and I will be reaching out in the future if I need any more help in philosophy!
