I graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and scored in the 92nd percentile on the MCAT. I am currently a fourth-year medical student, where I continue to build on my passion for science, education, and mentorship. My strong academic background in the biological sciences, combined with the rigor of medical training, allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world examples.
Throughout my academic journey, I have tutored students in biology, chemistry, and test preparation, both in one-on-one and small group settings. I strive to tailor each session to the individual student, some learn best through visual diagrams, others through practice problems or real-life analogies; and I adjust my teaching style accordingly. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students develop critical thinking skills that last beyond the classroom.
In addition to tutoring, I have coached youth sports and mentored high school students, which has given me valuable experience working with learners of all ages and backgrounds. Coaching taught me the importance of patience, communication, and encouragement. These are qualities I bring to every tutoring session. Above all, I love helping students gain confidence in their abilities and discover that with the right support and strategy, they are capable of mastering even the most challenging material.
