Experienced math educator with nearly a decade of leadership and teaching experience at the Russian School of Mathematics, where I served as Acting Principal at the Rocky Hill, CT branch.
In addition to my work at RSM, I owned and operated a private tutoring business for many years. Through my private tutoring program, I have personally worked with over 50 students over extended periods, successfully helping them gain admission to the colleges of their choice. My 7th grade students have averaged a 750 on the Math SAT — significantly above the national 11th grade average of 650.
I teach for deep, lasting understanding rather than short-term memorization. I focus on deriving formulas and concepts so students truly understand the “why” behind the material. Because math builds upon itself, I begin by identifying and closing foundational gaps in a student’s knowledge. This prevents future struggles and builds genuine confidence and independence.
I welcome students to bring their Russian School of Math homework, regular school assignments, or practice tests. I also specialize in helping students get ahead in school by tutoring them on more advanced material.
