I've taught and tutored preschool and elementary-aged children for 8 years, and recently started tutoring middle schoolers. I specialize in Math and English, but I also tutor other Elementary subjects. I give a weekly summary assessment to track and plan better lessons or activities for the students. My goal is to help children not just to finish their homework, but to love learning and to have the confidence which will help them in the long run with their academics. I've helped young children improve their grades, and pass their tests.
I also taught an inclusion class for 6 years with children that have special needs. I help design early intervention programs, and also facilitate one-on-one tutorials to help children with learning difficulties keep up with their class lessons and finish their homework. I can help tailor-fit a tutoring plan that can supplement, support and help achieve their IEP goals.
I am available on weekdays from 9am to 5pm. Weekend sessions may be arranged in advance. My basic rate is $50 an hour, and I can drive to the client's place or meet up in a library or other quiet public places. I have a 24-hour cancellation period.
