I'm a student pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at Stanford University, with a specialization in AI/ML, having switched from Biocomputation. As such, I have an in-depth understanding of both Computer Science, Physics, and Math, as well as Biology and Chemistry and am happy to tutor in any of these subjects.
I've had experience with one-on-one tutoring middle school and high school students, primarily in math (algebra 2 and pre-calculus) and computer programming (python), with students having reported high enjoyment of my teaching and parents having reported high satisfaction with learning of the material.
My approach to teaching is primarily to meet students where they're at and to adapt to their learning style. For example, if a student struggles to focus during long tutoring sessions, I provide small rewards throughout the experience and promise them a little gaming time at the end if they behave, or I suggest splitting the meeting up in halves.
