Hi! I’m Alexis, and I really enjoy helping students feel more comfortable and confident with math.
I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences, where I built a strong foundation in math and science. I also worked as a teaching assistant for Anatomy I lab, Anatomy II lecture, and Nutrition, which is where I realized how much I enjoy helping students learn in a way that actually makes sense to them.

Math has always been my favorite subject, and I even received a calculus award in high school. I think part of why I love tutoring it is because I understand how frustrating it can feel when it’s not explained clearly, and how satisfying it is when it finally clicks.
When I tutor, I try to keep things relaxed and supportive. I’ll walk through problems step by step, answer any questions you have, and make sure you really understand what’s going on, not just what to write down.
I’ve worked with students who are trying to catch up, keep up, or just feel less stressed about their classes. My goal is to help you feel more confident and capable over time.
If you’re looking for someone patient, supportive, and easy to talk to, I’d love to work with you!
