I have experience in teaching in a foreign country (China). I have taught students anywhere from kindergarten to adults and all have been satisfied with my results. I have been awarded "teacher of the year" numerous times. I enjoy allowing the students to feel relaxed so he/she can learn better. My style of teaching is based on having fun while learning. My strong point in teaching comes with phonics. I am TESOL certified as well.
I am a certified ESL teacher and have enjoyed giving classes for it. Majority of my students came back to re-enroll for my classes. Students become comfortable rapidly with my friendliness and patience.
I am a bilingual speaker myself, so I know what's it like to learn from phonics. My teaching experience has come from teaching ABC's to dipthongs and such. I become creative by reinforcing the lessons with games or other activities.
Athletics has always been part of me growing up. One of the sports that I enjoyed the most is basketball. A sport that requires teamwork and communication development. Easy to learn. I have also given private lessons in China because it's a very popular sport out there.
I was born with the skill of drawing. I can do and easily teach others different types of art. My strong point will be with paints. In high school I won awards for best painting. The art competition didn't continue for me during college but I continue to pursue art while attending.
To sum it up I would like to inform you that while learning with me you will have fun, because I know what it was like being a child at one point. Having had experience teaching abroad gave me a better understanding on how a young student learns better. I am a family man so I totally understand the patience need it. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over 6 years of teaching phonics abroad. I have made various demos and public events using phonics.
