I have a Ph.D in physics and experience homeschooling my own 3 kids, teaching physics and math at the university and high school levels, and tutoring students. I can explain things clearly and I have a good sense for what depth of explanation different students need. I try to see what level of thinking the student has already, and then we raise that up incrementally.

My university teaching has been primarily in "pre-med" physics - which is physics using trigonometry and is the same as the content of AP Physics 1 & 2, as well as remedial college math (Algebra 1) and college algebra (Algebra 2). In high school, I've recently taught high school physics, Pre-Calc and AP Calc AB. So AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Calc, and AP PreCalc have been my recent focus, but I can also do Physics with Calculus (AP Physics C) and lower math grades, all the way down to helping youngsters master their facts! I also can help pre-med students review physics for their MCAT.
I often teach homeschoolers as well, serving as their main teacher on a weekly basis. Especially for 2E kids, this can be a more effective teaching strategy than a classroom setting. I have taught quite a few highly/profoundly gifted young students this way.
I really enjoy my time with students. Some say that with all the online educational resources, teaching will become outdated, but we learn best by having new skills modeled for us - and getting our thinking errors corrected. I adore being able to pass on the skills of logical thinking and impartial analysis to the younger generations. It's essential self-development -- needed for all walks of life!
