In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As we study world history; We also study the history of man. I like to interject anthropology when i teach World History. I think it gives students a better idea of what has happened in history and why people react to certain events.
I have dabbled in a couple of actual digs. One in Israel near the Golan Heights and another in Montana. I think archaeology is an important part of social science. It gives us a window on the past. It also helps us look to the future.
