Bio

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Economics, with strong academic training in macroeconomics, mathematics, and statistics. My coursework emphasized analytical reasoning, model-based thinking, and quantitative problem solving, including algebra, probability, regression, and economic modeling. Through this background, I developed a solid understanding of how mathematical and statistical tools are used to explain real-world economic behavior, rather than treated as isolated formulas.

While I have not formally worked as a paid tutor, I have extensive experience explaining complex concepts one-on-one in informal and academic settings. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I regularly helped classmates work through macroeconomic models, problem sets, and statistical reasoning by breaking ideas down into first principles and rebuilding them step by step. This approach was especially effective for students who felt overwhelmed by abstract notation or unclear lecture explanations. I focus on identifying exactly where confusion starts and addressing it directly, rather than pushing through material without understanding.

My tutoring style is structured, practical, and adaptive to the individual student. I begin by understanding the course level, expectations, and specific areas of difficulty, then tailor explanations to the student’s way of thinking. I emphasize intuition first, followed by formal methods, and reinforce learning through guided practice and real examples. I am comfortable working one-on-one with high school and college-level students, and I aim to help students build both confidence and genuine understanding so they can succeed independently.

Data Science

I’m a self-taught data science enthusiast who has completed multiple DataCamp courses and tracks to build strong foundational skills in Python programming, data manipulation with Pandas and NumPy, data visualization, introductory statistics, and basic machine learning concepts. Through hands-on projects with real datasets, I’ve practiced cleaning data, exploring patterns, creating insightful visualizations, and applying simple models, which gives me practical experience to share with others starting out. I specialize in clear, patient, step-by-step explanations that make coding and data ideas less overwhelming for complete beginners, relating closely to the challenges I faced during my own recent learning process. My aim is to help students gain confidence quickly by focusing on interactive practice and building from basics to working on their own small data projects.
