Dear prospective student,
My name is Anthony, and I would love to help you feel confident in Anatomy for both lecture exams and lab practicals. I am a North Bay (Sonoma/Marin) and online tutor who specializes in Human Anatomy, with a focus on pre-nursing and allied health students. I earned an A in Santa Rosa Junior College’s Anatomy course, widely considered the most rigorous in the North Bay, and I currently tutor Anatomy at a local community college. I also hold a B.S. in Chemistry and Materials Science from UCLA. Before focusing on Anatomy, I spent a year tutoring K-12 science at an after-school science academy, which helped me explain complex topics clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
When we work together, my goal is to make the material feel organized and doable. Instead of spending sessions re-reading notes, we will focus on what improves exam performance: active recall, targeted practice, and clear prioritization. I will help you break large chapters into a realistic study plan, identify the highest-yield topics your instructor emphasizes, and build quick, reliable memory for structures, functions, and relationships. Sessions are interactive and efficient, with focused questions so you can see what you know, what you do not know yet, and what to do next.
For lab practicals, I coach students on recognition speed and accuracy, because practical exams are as much about seeing quickly as they are about knowing the content. During open lab, I regularly help students review the same materials used on practicals, including anatomical models, histology slides, prosections, dissections, and cadavers. In tutoring sessions, we can practice with labeled images and your lab list, run timed station-style review, and refine your wording so your answers match what your lab expects and how practical questions are graded.
If you tell me what course you are in, how your exams are structured, and what you feel stuck on right now, we will make a clear plan and take it step by step.
Warmly,
Anthony
