Hi! I’m Parnika, an Applied Math student at Caltech, and I tutor because I care about helping students build real understanding—not just get through tonight’s homework. I’m strongest in math and physics, and I enjoy breaking complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. Academically, I earned a perfect SAT score (1600), a 4.0 unweighted GPA, completed 15+ AP classes, and finished the full IB program. I also have 2+ years of experience tutoring middle school and high school students, and I’ve found that the most effective sessions combine strong fundamentals with a calm, organized approach that makes students feel capable.

My tutoring style is structured and student-centered. I start by identifying exactly where confusion begins (concept, problem setup, algebra, or test strategy), then we work through a clear method: concept review, a worked example, guided practice, and finally independent practice with targeted feedback. I emphasize problem-solving habits that transfer across topics—setting up equations cleanly, checking units and reasonableness, and learning how to spot and fix common mistakes—so students can become more independent over time. I’m happy to support everything from day-to-day assignments to test prep and long-term skill building.
