I also worked for several years in technical operations for healthcare startups prior to enrolling in medical school.
I've had extensive experience tutoring students in subjects ranging from middle school math and science to undergraduate general and organic chemistry. I'm interested in working with students who are in need of support and strategies as they navigate math and science coursework, or prepare for standardized tests including the SAT and MCAT. While I believe content knowledge is an essential foundation for success on these exams, my superpower is helping students develop strategies specific to the mechanics of each exam.
The most rewarding aspects of tutoring for me include the lightbulb moments, when a concept or skill really clicks for a student, and seeing students develop confidence in their own knowledge and abilities throughout the tutoring process.
