As an experienced educator with a rich academic background, I am dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of science and physics among my students. My journey began at Arcadia High School, from where I graduated in 2010. I then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physiology from UCLA, graduating in 2014, followed by a Master's degree in Education from CSULA in 2023.
My professional path has been diverse and rewarding. I've worked as an EMT, gaining hands-on experience in high-pressure situations. This was followed by a role as an SAT instructor, where I honed my skills in standardized test preparation. Additionally, I contributed to the field of science as a biomedical research assistant, which deepened my understanding of the scientific method and research practices.
Currently, I am a dedicated physics and science teacher at a high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. My expertise is certified through a California Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. My experience with standardized tests is extensive, having taken numerous exams myself, from the SAT to the MCAT. This experience has equipped me with unique insights into the world of test-taking, a skill I believe can be significantly improved with the right approach and practice.
My teaching philosophy revolves around the idea that studying effectively is an art that can be mastered. I am passionate about sharing these strategies with my students, helping them to not only excel in their exams but also to develop a lifelong love for learning and inquiry.
