I have been tutoring on and off since I was in high school, tutoring middle school children at that time. I also tutored high school students when I was a junior and senior in high school myself, and intermittently continued through college and law school. I have been tutoring on and off since I was in high school, tutoring middle school children at that time. I also tutored high school students when I was a junior and senior in high school myself, and intermittently continued through college and law school. Once I finished law school, and before passing the bar exam, I had an opportunity to teach on a substitute basis for a private Armenian high school in Pasadena. It was a really rewarding and fun experience, and gave me a sneak peek into what my life could have been, as I had seriously considered rising up the education ranks to be a professor instead of an attorney. My life in academia was not meant to be, and I have been a practicing attorney since 2011, but with the recent breakdowns in education due to COVID-19, I decided it could be a good opportunity for me to step back into a part-time teaching role, both for the benefit of my students and for me to spend some time outside of the law!

In all my experiences tutoring or teaching, I have always been able to make a connection with the student, and emphasize the total educational experience, rather than solely focusing on the subject matter at hand. Of course, learning the subject material is important, but giving students the tools needed for greater successes on a mental or personal level will enable aptitude both for the course and for beyond. If we do not seriously consider education of the next generation, we will all be worse for it, and I want to be a part of positive change in my local community, which can in turn lead to overall positivity for a far more vast network of people!

I have been blessed to incorporate "right brain" activities with the "left brain" and know that everyone has those abilities somewhere, which just need to be coached out into the open. Life is short, it's important to retain a healthy perspective, and place importance on hobbies, family, and personal growth, along with education. I have been playing guitar since I was 13 years old, and there is no stopping me now!

Fitness

Fitness

I took a course while at UCLA on nutrition and have been hooked ever since. I have been actively exercising via various methods, muscle training, cardio, yoga, and HIIT, and believe in balanced approach to both exercise and diet. Critically, the best method for effective training and nutrition will be the one that works for each individual, but everyone has a path to success they just need to find it!
Guitar

Guitar

I have been playing guitar since I was 13 years old, and have been a huge fan of heavy metal and hard rock since then. While I do not read music, I have used tablatures since I was a teenager, and have been playing in a band for the last several years. In the past year I have been writing and recording often, and found that creative process to be particularly fulfilling.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I did Moot Court when I was in High school, and since then, I have been an advocate for sharpening public speaking skills. Having the tools needed, mainly confidence, to effectively communicate can be a huge factor in success in the classroom and beyond. Often, public speaking comes down to the material you are presenting and what is expected, and connecting those dots can make something seemingly daunting, actually fun and informative for all parties concerned!
Religion

Religion

I have studied both the Old and New Testament, history of the Catholic church, and world religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. While I am not an expert in the fields, I also took a course in college entitled the New Testament as literature, and learned that reading religious texts or theories can be the same as learning about philosophy, or sociology, or history, all of which I studied throughout college.
