About Joseph

Bio

I have retired from the financial world in 2002 as an accountant, financial planner and controller. Then I returned to school to obtain 2 teaching credentials and a Master of Arts in special education. I retired in 2010 from a local district where I was a special education teacher (Mild to Moderate). Currently I am a substitute in same district and usually work in special education in both Mild to Moderate and Moderate to Severe.

Also I am a California Notary Public and a FBI background...

Several courses were completed on disabilties and instruction methods at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). I am a retired special education teacher and have experience with ADD/ADHD. Also hold a California clear single subject credential which expires 3/1/2019.

I have two California teaching credentials and a clearance. Being a special education teacher, I was required to teach Social Studies, World and American history. I am a nArmy veteran and served overseas with a vast amount of experience that enabled myself to see and understand various cultures. Study Skills

As a special Ed teacher in High School , I always had one class called "Study Skills". Special Ed students who were mainstreamed had this class as an elective and would be assisted with their assignments and projects. Also in middle school, I had one or two math intervention classes for students taking mainstream pre-algebra or algebra and needed assistance.
