My educational background includes a Certificate in American Sign Language, a teaching credential as an Education Specialist for Deaf/hard of hearing students, and a master's degree in Education of the Deaf. I have worked with a variety of platforms and instructional methods and can help you with overall ASL knowledge and skill, specific lessons, or a general course you are taking. Hi, I'm Kim. I specialize in teaching Deaf/hard of hearing students. I have a current California teaching credential in this area as well as a master's degree in Education of the Deaf. My DHH Teaching experience spans over 2 decades and includes all ages, toddler through adult. I specialize in teaching students who have hearing loss in all subject matter areas using American Sign Language, Total Communication, Signed English, and spoken English. I have experience in teaching settings in person and online for DHH special day class and DHH DIS support.

Excellent ASL tutor

I highly recommend Kim if you are looking for an ASL tutor. My 14 year old daughter needed help preparing for a quiz and we were fortunate to come across Kim’s profile and book a lesson. She is clearly an expert in ASL as well as patient and easy to work with. Kim also provided a helpful summary of the lesson and tips for my daughter to help memorize etc.
