I had a clear purpose in mind when I decided to take pronunciation lessons. I signed up for the TV screenwriting course, but I was far more concerned about critique sessions on each other’s work in the class full of English native speakers than about the actual writing content. Will my pronunciation disrupt the class? That is the reason why I decided to take pronunciation lessons before the script workshop began. However, choosing an instructor is no easy task. From past experience, I knew that pronunciation lessons tended to shift focus to conversation practice, with pronunciation correction gradually taking a backseat. After carefully reading the profiles and reviews, I chose Jen's class. I was glad I made that choice.
