Hi! My name is Therese, and I'm a first year medical student at UCSF. I'm also Stanford alum with a BA in English and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and an MA in sociology. I also did my post-bac at Johns Hopkins University. I have been a tutor for various subjects since I was a freshman in high school, and I love getting to know students and helping them succeed! I currently tutor high school and college students in English literature, essay writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, public speaking, application writing and more. I also have lots of experience teaching elementary school students and love working with kids. :) Many of my students have seen a dramatic improvement in their grades and ability to understand their material.

Over the past 4 years as an English major and tutor, I have learned so much about how to teach English and make it exciting for everyone involved. Reading and writing are skills that can be easily developed with dedication and hard work, and I believe that by working together, I can help push my students to achieve their goals and be the best English students they can be!
