Hello, everyone!
My name is Aika, and I am a native Japanese speaker and a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker. I am an incoming medical student with a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Washington.

Hello, everyone!
My name is Aika, and I am a native Japanese speaker and a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker. I am an incoming medical student with a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Washington.
As a non-native English speaker myself, I know how difficult it is to learn a new language. With my background in Japanese, I hope to bring down the barrier of learning a new language by providing engaging and fun lessons to every type of student.
As a little bit of background about myself, I was an officer at the Japanese Student Association at the University of Washington, where I have been promoting not only the language but also the beautiful culture of Japan. As an officer, I have communicated with exchange students from Japan and held weekly Kaiwa tables where native English speakers can practice their Japanese skills through casual conversations.
Additionally, I have also held a position as a Japanese translation team leader at the Culture Connection Club, an organization that aims to achieve a more inclusive community through translating school newspapers into various languages for non-native English speakers. As a team leader, I have honed my skills of delivering information in Japanese both accurately and concisely.
With my expertise in Japanese, I will be able to provide customized lesson plans that best fit your goal and adjust accordingly as we go through the lessons. I am open to all levels of learners, and please feel free to let me know of any questions you may have!
