My students consistently achieve 300+ point SAT increases, 5+ point ACT improvements, and 100+ point GMAT gains. I specialize in SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT preparation, along with math and science coursework through the AP and college level.

These results come from mastering the underlying content — not relying on shortcuts or memorized test tricks. My approach is structured and concept-driven: I focus on building genuine mastery so students can perform consistently across exams, coursework, and retakes — not just improve a single score.

My academic background includes work as a research coordinator and interventionist at The University of Texas at Austin's College of Education, where I helped develop and evaluate evidence-based instructional methods. I also taught at a STEM magnet high school, which keeps me closely aligned with AP curriculum and the expectations of highly competitive academic programs.

I work selectively with students who are serious about measurable improvement and committed to the process. This allows me to maintain a high level of focus and personalization in every session.

Approved Subjects

ACT English

ACT English

The ACT English section tests a finite, repeatable set of grammar and rhetoric rules. Rather than a limitation, that presents an opportunity. Students who build genuine command of the tested material — coupled with precise frameworks and strategies — rather than hunting for shortcuts, can reach the top of the scoring range. Many of mine do. My preparation is thorough, structured, and uncompromising. We cover every concept the section tests, build a reliable choreography of frameworks that holds up under pressure, work exclusively with official ACT materials, and develop both accuracy and timing simultaneously. There are no tricks here — only mastery. I work with students who are serious about the process and prepared to commit to it. If that's you, the results tend to follow.
ACT Math

ACT Math

ACT Math covers a predictable content range, but the questions are designed to reward students who have genuine mastery of the underlying material rather than those who have memorized formulas without understanding them. The difference shows up immediately on harder questions, and it shows up again on retakes. The section is not merely testing whether you know the material — it's measuring how deeply you know it. Genuine mastery is the only preparation that holds. My approach covers the full content range of the section, closes gaps as they surface, and moves into timed application once the foundation is solid. Every student works from a structured plan built around where they are, where they're going, and how much time we have. Nothing is skipped. I work selectively. The students I take on are committed to real improvement, not a quick fix — and that's exactly the profile that gets results.
ACT Reading

ACT Reading

ACT Reading is not a test of how much you enjoy reading or how strong your comprehension generally is. It is a test of how efficiently and accurately you can extract specific information from dense passages under strict time pressure. Students who approach it as a reading test struggle. Students who approach it as an information retrieval exercise with precise rules and frameworks do not. My preparation builds exactly those frameworks. Students learn to navigate each passage type strategically, identify what each question is actually asking, and execute with the speed and accuracy the section demands. We work exclusively with official ACT materials so that every practice repetition reflects real test conditions. This section rewards students who train deliberately. The ones who do consistently reach the top of the scoring range.
ACT Science

ACT Science

ACT Science is not a science test. It is a test of information synthesis: data interpretation, analytical reasoning, and information management under time pressure. Students who understand what the section is actually measuring — and who devote the time and diligence to developing a precise, efficient approach to its demands — score at the top of the range regardless of their science background. That's not an accident. That's elite preparation. My approach targets the exact skills the section rewards. Students learn to extract the right information quickly, interpret data accurately, and manage the section's pace without sacrificing precision. Many reach 35 or 36 on this section after working through my preparation. This is one of the highest-leverage sections on the ACT. The right approach makes it one of your strongest.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I tutor all high school math courses, from Algebra 1 through Calculus, including Algebra 2. I work with students from 8th grade to high school and college. I will work to understand the way that you think (and learn) so that math will begin to feel easier for you and you'll reach your goals even faster. I also specialize in standardized test prep. I have tutored the SAT and ACT exams for 8+ years,, and have helped hundreds of students reach the scores they needed for acceptance to their choice colleges. My approach with test prep is holistic: for each test section, I begin with a thorough content review, followed by section-specific strategies and shortcuts (where applicable). Finally, I use official practice questions to drill so that my students improve their efficiency and accuracy, and ultimately their score. Looking forward to working with you!
Chemistry

Chemistry

I tutor both high school and college chemistry courses. I will work to understand the way that you think (and learn) so that your curriculum will begin to feel easier for you and you'll reach your goals even faster. Looking forward to working with you!
GMAT

GMAT

The GMAT Focus Edition is a precision instrument. It is designed to differentiate among highly capable candidates, and it does so by rewarding students who have genuine command of the tested material — not those who have learned to approximate their way through it. For applicants targeting M7 and other elite MBA programs, the margin between a competitive score and a disqualifying one is narrow. Preparation at that level has to be rigorous. My preparation covers all three sections of the GMAT Focus Edition in full. Quantitative Reasoning and Data Insights receive the analytical depth those sections demand — identifying exactly where points are being lost, rebuilding underlying concepts where necessary, and developing the precision the exam rewards. Verbal Reasoning preparation addresses the specific reading comprehension and critical reasoning question types the GMAT tests, which require a disciplined, structured approach rather than reliance on general language intuition. I work selectively with MBA applicants who are committed to the process and targeting programs where their score will be scrutinized. That profile produces results. A casual approach to GMAT preparation does not.
GRE

GRE

The GRE is often the final obstacle between a highly accomplished professional and the graduate program they've been working toward. The candidates who come to me for GRE preparation are typically intelligent, driven, and years removed from formal math instruction and the kind of focused analytical reading the GRE demands — which means the content isn't unfamiliar so much as it's buried. The path forward isn't remediation. It's a structured, deliberate rebuild that meets them exactly where they are and moves efficiently from there. My preparation covers both Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning in full. On the Quant side, that means reconstructing the mathematical foundation without assuming prior fluency and developing the problem-solving precision the section rewards. On the Verbal side, it means building command of the specific vocabulary, reading comprehension strategies, and reasoning patterns the GRE tests — which are distinct from general reading ability and respond well to targeted preparation. I work with candidates who are serious about their target programs and understand that meaningful score improvement requires real engagement with the process. Those candidates — the ones who commit fully — consistently achieve the outcomes that get them where they're going.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have tutored Precalculus for over ten years, and have consistently helped students to both understand their course content and to achieve high grades in the class. I believe that anyone can understand material, no matter how advanced, if the information is broken down in a way that feels manageable, and if they have quality examples to learn from. I will work to understand the way that you think (and learn) so that math will begin to feel easier for you and you'll reach your goals even faster. Looking forward to working with you!
PSAT

PSAT

I have tutored the PSAT and SAT exams for over 8 years, and have helped hundreds of students meet or surpass their score goals, and others to achieve National Merit status. I also specialize in standardized test prep. I have tutored the PSAT exam for 8+ years, and have helped many students qualify for National Merit status, hundreds of others to prepare for the SAT. My approach with test prep is holistic: for each test section, I begin with a thorough content review, followed by section-specific strategies and shortcuts (where applicable). Finally, I use official practice questions to drill so that my students improve their efficiency and accuracy, and ultimately their score. I will work to understand the way that you think (and learn) so that PSAT content will begin to feel easier for you and you'll reach your goals even faster. I will design a plan for your test prep, so that you know exactly what you need to do to move your score even higher. Looking forward to working with you!
Regents

Regents

I have taught Regents curricula and test prep for the past 15 years. I offer Regents tutoring and test prep instruction for several tests: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Chemistry, and ELA.
SAT Math

SAT Math

The gap between a 650 and a 750 on SAT Math is rarely about content coverage. It's about depth — the kind of understanding that lets a student recognize what a question is actually asking, regardless of how it's framed. College Board constructs questions that punish surface-level knowledge. It's not sufficient to "know about functions" — students need deep mastery of them so that no matter how the question is posed, what patterns need to be recognized, or what dots need to be connected, they can do so without hesitation. Students who have genuine command of the material are not fooled. My preparation covers every tested content area without exception, surfaces and closes conceptual gaps in real time, and builds the flexibility that high-score performance requires. I prioritize official College Board materials while supplementing with additional high-quality sources — including practice tests calibrated to the actual difficulty of the exam, not the easier versions that tend to create false confidence before test day. Nothing is rushed. We move to timed practice when the foundation is ready — not before. I work with students who are prepared to engage seriously with that process. Those students consistently reach the upper end of the scoring range, including perfect 800s.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

Although the Digital SAT now combines Reading and Writing into a single scored section, I prepare students for each component separately — because they require separate skills and separate preparation. SAT Reading content includes the reading comprehension, rhetoric, and evidence-based reasoning component specifically. SAT Reading questions are not testing whether you understood the passage in a general sense. They are testing whether you can identify precisely what the text says, what it implies, and how it is constructed — and do so quickly and without error. Students who rely on intuition or general reading ability plateau. Students who develop a disciplined, structured approach to the question types do not. My preparation covers every question type and passage category the College Board tests, builds reliable frameworks for eliminating wrong answers with confidence, and uses official materials as the foundation while supplementing with additional sources that provide the volume and variety needed to develop real fluency. The students who commit to this process finish with very few missed questions. Many finish with none.
SAT Writing

SAT Writing

Although the Digital SAT now combines Reading and Writing into a single scored section, I prepare students for each component separately — because they are separate skills that require separate preparation. SAT Writing content covers the grammar, rhetoric, and language conventions component specifically. The Writing questions on the SAT test a finite set of rules around sentence structure, punctuation, word choice, and rhetorical effectiveness. Students who develop genuine, confident command of those conventions — rather than relying on what "sounds right" — finish with very few missed questions. Many of mine finish with none. My preparation covers every tested grammar and rhetoric concept thoroughly. I draw on official College Board materials as the foundation while supplementing with additional sources that provide the volume and variety of practice needed to build real fluency — including question sets that isolate writing conventions at a depth the official materials alone don't fully support. The ceiling on this component is a perfect score. For students who take it seriously, it's reachable.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have tutored Trigonometry for 10+ years. I help students break down seemingly difficult trig concepts and material to discover that, not only is it doable, but that they are better at math than they may have previously thought. I will work to understand the way that you think (and learn) so that math will begin to feel easier for you and you'll reach your goals even faster. Looking forward to working with you!
