I love teaching! I spent 3 college semesters on course staff for Math, Probability theory, and Statistics. I taught discussion sections (30 students) and office hours (one-on-one homework help and exam prep), and I have answered over 1000 questions on class forums.
In addition, I've privately tutored college students in Calculus and Probability for 4 semesters. I've also tutored High School Math on UPchieve: I have 100+ hours of volunteer online tutoring for Algebra I, II, Calculus, and SAT prep.
My focus is on meeting students where they're at, and explaining Math concepts clearly using visual intuition. I avoid rote memorization / pattern-matching, I instead prioritize understanding 'why' something is true so that it becomes second nature eventually. I believe in building strong foundations so that, by the time we reach more advanced topics, they all seem easy. I love seeing student's eyes light up when the topic they've been struggling with suddenly clicks and makes complete sense:)
I'm fluent in English, French, and Arabic. I've been playing the piano for over 18 years, earning my ABRSM Grade 8 in 2017.
