I graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior and a concentration in Public Health. I was also honored to have received national awards and recognitions for my work in creative writing. Thus, I am passionate about teaching students in both STEM- and humanities-related topics!

Having attended and served as an admissions ambassador at one of the nation's most prestigious all-girls high schools, I have developed an understanding of qualities that would make a student thrive and achieve their academic goals. I have 5+ years of experience in mentoring students through the college application process. My students have earned admission to a variety of institutions, from Harvard University to Carnegie Mellon. I also have experience instructing students across different ages (from elementary to college) in math, science, reading, writing, and English.

My tutoring philosophy centers on helping students build a solid grasp of essential concepts while strengthening their problem-solving abilities and overall academic confidence. I take time to understand how each student learns best, and I customize every session to match their pace, goals, and learning style. By breaking challenging material into clear, approachable steps, I aim to provide students with the tools and strategies to figure out HOW to approach problems, rather than directly giving answers.

I scored 5/5 on the AP Calculus AB/BC, AP French, AP US Government and Politics, and AP English and Language Composition exams, 35/36 on ACT English, and 36/36 on ACT Reading. I earned A+s in Organic Chemistry and creative writing courses at Columbia. I also received 4.0s in courses like Masterpieces in Western Literature, poetry, and Culture and Theory, where I analyzed works from Plato to Fanon.

For the past five years, I have helped high school students earn admission to their dream colleges, including Harvard University. I draw on my experience as an Ivy League graduate and my nationally recognized writing ability to guide students in developing written work. I believe in crafting a strong, compelling narrative that highlights students' unique strengths to admission officers! I also provide detailed editing services for all types of essays, beyond those for college applications.
