Hi! I'm Kunal, a junior at Stanford University majoring in chemical engineering. I started tutoring math and science in high school through peer tutoring programs within my district. I've been a tutor for 6 years since then through nonprofits, clubs, and private tutoring. Now, I continue to tutor STEM subjects at the middle school through collegiate level. I'm also a trained English tutor at my college writing center. Finally, I have teaching experience as a course assistant for a Stanford freshman seminar about energy physics.
I absolutely love to teach and learn together with my students. Over the years, I've developed a patient, collaborative, and effective approach to tutoring that I hope builds up my students' love of learning. I prioritize building a conceptual understanding of the material through different angles, reinforcing concepts through practice problems, and going at a pace that fits our goals.
In high school, I took 12 AP courses and scored a 5 on all exams (Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, English Literature, Spanish Language, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, U.S. History). I also received a perfect score on the ACT on my first attempt (36 on all sections, 11 on writing). While I know that standardized testing and education systems are extremely different experiences for all students, I work closely with all of my students to personalize our sessions to maximize their learning.
Please reach out if you're in need of a tutor! I'm happy to chat more about my background and approach as needed. I also welcome any and all feedback that can help us make the most of our time.
