My goal as a tutor is to help you gain a better grasp of the subject, so that you can get more out of class and enjoy the process of learning. I'm comfortable working specifically with your course work, or simply helping you understand difficult parts of the subject matter.
I recently returned from a seven-month appointment as an English teaching assistant in a French public high school. In this position, I aided students with English vocabulary and grammar in a classroom setting, and I met with students in groups of 2-4 to practice conversational English. I am also fluent in French (C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), so I am available to tutor either ESL or French.
I graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics, a minor in history. During my history minor, I focused mostly on European and East Asian history, but I am also comfortable tutoring world or US history (up to a high school level). I am comfortable tutoring in ececonomics at both high-school level and a basic-level college course.
In addition, I have a decent amount of experience editing and revising other students' writing, and I'd love to help you transform a first draft into a nicely crafted final draft.
If you're interested, send me a message and we'll work out a time and place! I'm comfortable with in person or online.
