Cooking

I come from a family of cooks, my grandfather was a Chef, my mother is a chef (without the title), my daughter is studying to become a chef..oh well, I think you get the picture. I have been cooking for the last 20 years at least, I have worked in a couple of restaurants (an Italian restaurant here in the US and a family restaurant in Guadalajara Mexico) but most of my experience comes from cooking for my family and with my mother. I am not a chef, and surely not close to my mother's cooking but I get praise even from her (and that is saying something, believe me!) If you are completely novice in cooking I am sure I can help you get started in the exquisite world of cooking.

English

I have worked as an ESL teacher for over 30 years. I also founded and ran a ESL school in Guadalajara Mexico for 17 years. Among other things I trained teachers, developed programs, designed exams and so on.

ESL/ESOL

I have been a ESL/EFL teacher for the last 22 years. I also ran a ESL/EFL school in Guadalajara Mexico for 17 years. I teach grammar, reading, proofreading, TOEFL and writing. If you are a teacher I can help you with your Classroom Management skills as well. I have experience working with adults at a professional level and kids too. I developed English Teaching programs for the Universidad Autonoma de Durango. I also have done simultaneous, consecutive and written translations.

General Computer

I ran a languages school for 17 years, and due to the need for the understanding and use of computer terms; we designed a program for basic computers skills in which we included: Basic computer functions, basic computer composition, as well as, basic use of programs such as: Word, Power Point and Excel. Each topic can be covered in 2 hours which would total 10 hours for the whole course, however it could take longer depending on the particular needs of each student.

Study Skills

I have been a teacher for the last 22 years, I also have practiced sports since I remember, and I am also very passionate about music and the cinema, among other things. What does one thing have to do with the other? Everything!!!! Learning, which should be the result of studying, is something that we do all the time and through all the different activities that we are a part of. The interesting thing about this is, that everything is somehow related or connected and when we understand this symbiotic relation, the learning process takes place effortlessly. Tennis

I have been a tennis aficionado since I remember, and although I didn't make it through the professional rankings, I am technic sound and ,since I have been a teacher for the last 22 years, I am very good pedagogically. Beginners and intermediate level players.
