Hello! My name is Ozzy, and I am a dedicated writing tutor with over seven years of experience helping students express themselves clearly, confidently, and authentically on the page. I believe that everyone has something important to say—and my job is to help you say it well.
I earned two bachelor’s degrees and began my tutoring journey as a peer consultant at the Writing and Multiliteracy Center at CSU Channel Islands. There, I worked with students from all backgrounds and skill levels, supporting them with everything from basic grammar to advanced literary analysis. I also helped students prepare application essays and navigate the writing expectations of different disciplines.
Right now, I’m in law school, which means writing, argumentation, and clarity are part of my daily life. That legal training sharpens my ability to help students organize complex ideas, write persuasively, and revise with intention—whether it’s a high school essay or a college-level research paper.
My tutoring approach is grounded in patience, empathy, and adaptability. I’ve worked with students from elementary school through college and beyond, and I always tailor my sessions to your pace and learning style.
