Hi! You can call me Gio. I am a physics and math tutor with a strong background in teaching, research, and community outreach. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics from the University of California, Irvine, and later completed my Master’s degree in Computational Physics. I am now pursuing my PhD while continuing to teach, mentor, and give back to my community through science education and outreach.

I have over three years of experience as a science teacher, where I worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and helped make science feel more approachable, exciting, and understandable. I have also taught undergraduate physics courses, mentored incoming college students, and tutored students who needed extra support in math and physics.

During my time at UCI, I founded and served as president of the Astronomy Club for two years. I organized and participated in outreach events that reached hundreds of students and community members. I also mentored freshmen undergraduates through the Resonance Program and helped them adjust to college-level physics, math, and research. Helping students build confidence has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
