Hello! I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2016 with a B. S. in Physics and from the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2018 with an M. S. in Data Science at the University of Virginia (UVA).

I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and of all ages, but my skills are best suited for tutoring high school and college students. I can tutor any maths and sciences at a high school level, and I can tutor maths and physics for most college courses. I can also help with data science and machine learning related courses.

I was a participant and one of the school-wide top scorers in the AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME. As the president of my high school chapter for Mu Alpha Theta, the national high school & two-year college mathematics honor society, I encouraged students to participate in and helped them train for math competitions. As part of my undergraduate physics degree, I learned a lot of advanced mathematics that are useful across many science and engineering disciplines. I continue to apply these skills regularly in my data science and machine learning work.

Positively fantastic!

I contacted Fandi because my ability to keep up with my physics work (college-level) was slipping quickly and I needed a guide. My homework would take me 2 excruciatingly stressful hours to at best get a 70, but usually below a 50. Fandi worked with me, letting me direct the conversation and then him gently steering me in the right way. He has a perfect balance of letting me struggle a little bit and think about how to approach the question and then if I'm totally lost he jumps in. Allowing me to struggle I believe is good to an extent because it forces me to think instead of just listening to what he has to say. Fandi did an excellent job with me, making my homework take a mere 30 minutes and I received a 100, with no stress involved at all! Highly recommend, because he's also super flexible about time and location to meet up in person.
