Greetings! I have been a tutor for 10 years now, tutoring all grades from K-12. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for 8 years now. I currently work at Tulare County Office of Education in the Bright Future program. In this program I help students with behavioral issues. I enjoy my work with children, and embrace the lessons they teach me daily. I encourage a students unique learning styles and format my lesson plans to help each child learn more effectively.

I love teaching reading and vocabulary with my students. I have taken several workshops through the Office of Education providing me extra insight on teaching strategies for reading.

As a new teacher I have recently graduated from Brandman University. Common Core is fairly new to education and a big topic during my last classes before graduation. I have studied Common Core intensely and have the current knowledge and strategies for tutoring Common Core Education.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in education. I am certified in ABA therapy working with Autistic children.

I have worked with many students on improving phonics clarification. My own daughter struggled with phonics, and we attended many phonics classes together through Fresno State University. I have seen the different programs and understand what children need to better understand and boost phonics comprehension.

I believe in the potential of every student. I have worked with many different learning disabilities and backgrounds. I believe in and encourage every student to succeed. I look forward to meeting with your student and helping them reach their full learning potential!
