I recently graduated from Chapman University with a double major in Mathematics and Software Engineering. I have been tutoring since 2020 and have spent the past two years working as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and Academic Mentor for Chapman’s mathematics department, supporting students in lower-division courses, and specializing in Calculus I and II.

I recently graduated from Chapman University with a double major in Mathematics and Software Engineering. I have been tutoring since 2020 and have spent the past two years working as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and Academic Mentor for Chapman’s mathematics department, supporting students in lower-division courses, and specializing in Calculus I and II.
I have a strong mathematical background and have excelled in courses such as Calculus I, II, and III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and Introductory Statistics. Through my experience as a tutor, grader, SI leader, and academic mentor, I’ve developed the ability to break down complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s needs.
In high school, I completed AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics, and earned a 1550 on the SAT (780 Math, 770 Reading).
I began tutoring during quarantine with Genify, where I worked closely with elementary school students in math, English, science, and social studies. I focused on strengthening reading comprehension, writing, and problem-solving skills by creating personalized lesson materials, including presentations and worksheets, and encouraging students to take an active role in their learning.
I genuinely enjoy working with students and helping them build confidence in their abilities. I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to making learning both effective and engaging.

Very patient with my child and allows her to "get" the problem and solution. Great communication and I think her way of tutoring works! My child has requested another lesson with her and I will for sure schedule it with Alexandra again!

Alexandra was a good tutor for my son. She was knowledgeable and on time. Would recommend her. She worked with him in Algebra. If you meet in Orange, leave early. Hard to find parking and a spot at Starbucks.
