John, first took the time to get to know my boys and their struggles in Spanish as well as Biology. I am thrilled, with how patient and educated he is in both subjects. He is able to break down the complicated lessons and teach them how to understand it from their perspective. Not to mention, my boys look forward to having him tutor them. John has given them confidence in their subjects that they were struggling with and therefore they have been able to raise their grades. I am so happy we chose John as our tutor!!!!!!
John helped my daughter with Honors Chemistry and Algebra 2. After just one session, my daughter's confidence and understanding of the material improved significantly. John also patiently worked around our sometimes hectic last minute scheduling.
John is an excellent tutor. He's extremely knowledgeable. He's patient, and thoroughly explains each math problem. I really appreciate John's willingness to assist me to achieve my academic goals
My son was struggling in High School Chemistry and ended up with a C in the fall semester. After only a couple of weeks with John my son's Chemistry grade is a solid . My son's teacher was so impressed that she sent us a post card to say that she had never seen this much improvement so quickly. I am so glad we found John. I would recommend him in a heart beat.
We are so impressed with John and what he's helped our high school son accomplish. He is incredibly knowledge and the way he goes about teaching is amazing. Patient, thorough, and really cares about his students and wants to see them succeed as much as we do! John's definitely a keeper!!
John took time to get to know my son and his interests in order to motivate him. I felt it was a thoughtful approach and respectful of my son. As a teacher, that respect can have a great impact on the learning process. My son is extremely excited about the next session and has eagerly practiced his Spanish. While this was the first class, I look forward to observing the progress my son makes.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
