I am a credentialed middle school teacher with several years of classroom experience teaching English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies to upper elementary and middle school students. I work primarily with grades 4–8 and have extensive experience helping students strengthen reading comprehension, writing structure, grammar, vocabulary, and foundational math skills. My background includes full-time classroom teaching as well as one-on-one academic support, where I have worked with students at a wide range of ability levels.
My approach is structured and fundamentals-focused. I believe students build confidence when they truly understand the basics—whether that means mastering math facts, organizing a five-paragraph essay, improving reading fluency, or learning how to annotate a text effectively. I break skills into clear, manageable steps and provide consistent feedback so students can see measurable progress. I also align tutoring sessions with classroom standards and assignments whenever possible, so our work directly supports their school success.
In addition to academic skill development, I help students build study habits, organization, and independent learning strategies. My goal is not just to complete homework, but to help students think clearly, write confidently, and approach challenging material with discipline and resilience.
