I'm a senior at Chapman University, double-majoring in Economics and Political Science. This combination has given me a strong foundation in both micro and macroeconomic theory and political science, which I use to help me explain material clearly across coursework, research, and real-world projects. I also aid with ACT Reading and English prep, having scored a 36 on those sections during my attempts, so I can connect that recent experience to a strategic approach for students.
My tutoring background comes from working as a writing consultant and tutor for college students, where I helped others strengthen their writing across a range of subjects and assignment types, from argumentative essays to research papers. This experience taught me how to break down someone else's thought process and build a teaching approach that actually resonates with each student. I take the same approach with economics and political science. Rather than just walking through material, I focus on making sure a student can reconstruct the logic themselves and then apply it to academic work.
Alongside my academic work, I've spent the past few years working in film and media production, most recently producing an independent feature, giving me insight into film. Whether I'm helping a student prep for the ACT Reading and English sections, work through supply and demand curves, or understand the basics of filmmaking, my goal is always to build real understanding.
