Hello, I'm Keoni! I am recent graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and was recognized on the Dean’s List in 2025. My coursework included Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Modeling, Portfolio Management, Derivatives, Options and Futures, and International Finance. Many of my finance courses were highly quantitative and required strong proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and attention to detail. I also completed coursework in International Relations, American Foreign Policy, and National Security, along with writing-focused classes in Business Writing, Creative Writing, and Film Script Writing. This academic background allows me to tutor Algebra through Pre-Calculus, Statistics, introductory Economics and Finance, as well as AP Government, Political Science, and U.S. History. I also support students with essay writing, college application personal statements, and SAT/ACT Reading and Writing.
I have experience mentoring and guiding students in academic and educational outreach settings. At the CSUF Social Science Research Center, I supervised and coached research assistants on data collection techniques and research protocols, often working one-on-one to help students improve accuracy, comprehension, and analytical thinking. I also volunteered as a camp counselor for CSUF’s 2025 Dragon Camp, a program for high school students interested in studying insurance and finance at the university. During the program, I participated in a panel where I discussed the opportunities CSUF offers for students interested in pursuing Finance and Investment Banking.
My tutoring approach focuses on personalized instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and academic goals. I primarily work with high school and early college students and aim to make challenging subjects easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, and structured guidance.
