I am a recent cum laude graduate of Amherst College, a rigorous liberal arts college in Massachusetts. While completing my degree, I worked as a teaching assistant for more than 2 years, providing support to introductory biology students in small groups and in one-on-one settings. In particular, I was proud not only to help students on their way to success, but to instill and encourage an abiding love of science. That excitement is what drives me to continue to help students achieve their potential.
My experience in teaching computer skills and statistics to a wide variety of students has given me a wide variety of strategies to draw from when a student is having difficulty.
My passion for science inspires my education and career goals, and my excitement is infectious. I’ve never yet met a student that couldn’t find something exciting in the material with a little help. In short: I love science, and you will too!
I’m excited to hear from new students! Contact me to schedule a lesson or two, to learn more, or just to say hello!
