Hi! I’m a UCLA graduate with a degree in biochemistry, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident in math. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA, earned Dean’s List honors, and scored a 750 on the SAT Math section. I specialize in high school math, especially Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, as well as SAT math prep.
I’ve spent several years working closely with students in both one-on-one and group settings. I was a tutor at Kumon for four years, where I helped students build strong math foundations and develop consistent study habits. I also worked as a Learning Assistant at UCLA, supporting college students through challenging material. One of the most common pieces of feedback I received was that I explain concepts in a way that’s easy to understand and help students feel more comfortable asking questions and participating.
I offer online tutoring and tailor each session to the student's needs, whether that’s getting extra practice, reviewing concepts step-by-step, or preparing for an upcoming test. I really focus on helping students understand the “why” behind the math so it actually sticks, instead of just memorizing steps. For SAT prep, I also work on strategies like pacing and problem recognition so you can feel confident going into the test. My goal is to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where you can build skills, improve your scores, and feel good about your progress. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
