I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Biological Sciences and a high GPA, reflecting my strong academic foundation in the sciences. My coursework included subjects such as general biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, and calculus, which I now feel confident teaching to students at the high school and college levels. During my time at UCI, I volunteered as a peer tutor through the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC), where I helped students grasp challenging concepts in group settings. I also supported individual students in one-on-one sessions, where I learned how to tailor my teaching style to fit each student’s learning needs.
In addition to my university experience, I have privately tutored students ranging from middle school to early high school, covering topics such as Biology, General Chemistry, Algebra, and Geometry. I aim to create a supportive and patient environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My approach involves identifying the root of a student’s confusion, breaking concepts down into simpler parts, and using real world examples to enhance understanding. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement, and I enjoy being part of that journey. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam or consistent support throughout the school year, I’m committed to helping them build confidence and reach their academic goals.
